If you want to find out your German level in a very short time, you can take one of the four proficiency tests here. Specifically, these tests check your grammatical and vocabulary knowledge as well as your overall text comprehension. Each test contains 60 fill-in-the-blank questions, and you have 20 minutes to complete it. There is a clock on the page screen.

Once you have filled in the blanks, you can check your answers again before finally submitting the proficiency test. After submitting the test, you will immediately receive the result, which is based on the levels of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, i.e. A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.

Each proficiency test consists of six short texts of increasing difficulty. However, only the number of correctly completed blanks counts towards the final result.
